Early Years Education Funding
All three and four year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education for 38 weeks of the year. This applies until they reach compulsory school age (the term following their 5th birthday). We also accept three and four year olds who are eligible to receive 30 hours free childcare per week. For 3 year olds attending Term-Time we offer these hours over 38 weeks. Our terms are typically longer than 38 weeks so there will be some unfunded days if your child is accessing wrap around care. Children attending full time will receive 12 or 24 hours stretched over 48 weeks (570 or 1,140 hours).
Eligible children aged 9 months to 3 years are entitled to 30 hours of free nursery education for 38 weeks. This funding is stretched to 24 hours over 48 weeks (1,140 hours).
